- TEXT EFFECTS
-
- Pressing <EFFECTS> (the ALT E key) while typing text allows you to
- begin a special printing effect starting at the cursor position, or to
- turn an effect off. Currently, the special effects are :
-
- underlining
- boldfacing
- subscripting
- superscripting
- hard space (space that won't be removed during formatting)
- overstrike (for producing accented characters, redlining, etc)
- table of contents marker
- index marker
- font change (fonts are defined in the .prt files)
- keep marker (the block in between keep markers will start on a new
- page in there isn't room on the current page for the
- whole block)
-
- To turn an effect on, press <EFFECTS>, choose the first letter of the
- attribute you want to enable, and type 'y'. To disable the effect,
- follow the same procedure as above, but type 'n' instead of 'y'. You
- are allowed to have multiple effects on the same piece of text. (ie -
- a word can be bold and superscripted, or super-superscripted).
-
- Since each attribute is shown as a graphics character, and each
- attribute takes up a space in the text, you can remove an effect just
- by deleting the attribute character.
